Major Challenges of the IB English Program & How We Help

1. Mastering Essay Writing & Text Analysis

Transitioning from MYP or IGCSE to IB English can be overwhelming. One of the biggest challenges students face is writing well-structured essays under time constraints while analyzing texts in their sociopolitical context. Our IB English tutors provide personalized coaching to refine writing skills and enhance analytical thinking.

2. Excelling in the Individual Oral (IO) Exam

Many students underestimate the importance of treating the Individual Oral as a formal exam. This often results in unpolished and underprepared presentations. Our IB English tutor provides:

  • Detailed feedback and coaching
  • Effective preparation strategies
  • Techniques to boost confidence and test scores

3. Overcoming Limited Formal Feedback

IB English students often struggle due to the lack of formal feedback from teachers before major assessments. Our tutors bridge this gap by providing:

  • Constructive feedback on essays and presentations
  • Guidance on refining arguments and analysis
  • Strategies to improve critical thinking and writing clarity
